An Effort to Recall Lansing's Mayor Virgil Bernero Falls Short
Thursday, December 21, 2006

LANSING, MI -  The campaign to unseat the current Mayor  Virgil Bernero of Lansing was not successful.

According to John Pollard, the treasurer and spokesperson for the City Recall Committee, nearly 7,700 signatures were collected during the 90 day period.

Pollard indicated that the recall petitions will be shredded after a period of time has passed to protect the citizens and circulators who signed the petitions.
