1. The three men managed the Braves at some point in the National League club's franchise history. Hornsby had a 39-83 record in 1928; Stengel had a 373-491 mark from 1938 to 1943; and Torre was 257-229 from 1982 to 1984.
2. The Braves have won three World Series titles: 1914 when the club was located in Boston; 1957 in Milwaukee; and 1995 in Atlanta.
3. Aaron leads the Braves with 3,600 career hits and 733 home runs, while Eddie Mathews ranks second with 2,201 hits and 493 homers.
4. Lew Burdette of the Milwaukee Braves chalked up the victory when teammate Joe 
Adcock slugged four homers against Brooklyn on July 31, 1954. Nearly seven years later, 
Burdette was credited with the loss when Willie Mays' four homers helped lead the Giants to a 14-4 win over the Braves on April 30, 1961.
5. J.J. Arrington, who rushed for 2,018 yards and 15 TDs on 289 carries for California in 2004.
6. Sophomore Vince Young of Texas led all Division I-A quarterbacks with 1,079 yards rushing in 2004.
7. Utah quarterback Alex Smith was the top selection of the 2005 NFL draft by the San 
Francisco 49ers, while Utah basketball player Andrew Bogut was selected first in the 2005 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.
