Three Homicides in Southeast Lansing
Friday, October 28, 2016

On October 28, 2016 at approximately 1:15 am, Officers were sent to the 2900 block of Truman to check the welfare of a resident. Officers developed information that necessitated entering the residence.

Upon doing so they discovered three subjects that appeared to have been shot to death, a female and two males, all in their mid to late 20s. Based on available information we do not believe there is an ongoing public safety concern and we are not seeking any specific people. Our Investigators will process the scene, examine the available evidence, work with the Medical Examiner’s Office and pursue any relevant information that develops. Names may not be released until much later in the day or tomorrow while we confirm identities and work to notify all of the impacted families of this unfortunate event.

We welcome anyone with information regarding this matter to call D/Sgt. Todd Johnson at 483-6864 or anonymously to CRIME STOPPERS @ 517-483-7867. There is no further information available for release at this time. Robert Merritt, of the Public Information Office, will handle any further updates that we can make available.
