    LANSING, MI --  The New Citizens Press has featured plenty of fabulous people in our Most Interesting and Most Influential features.  In an attempt to keep you better updated on the progress of our honorees from the last 4 years,  we have decided to do follow up stories from time to time.  Some of our honorees have continued to shine and others have been voted out or have been marred by the court of public opinion. We will bring you both in an attempt to keep you informed.  We will also do so with the Best, Brightest and Most Beautiful edition as well.  You can log on to www.tncp.net to see honorees in both categories.
    On March 25, 2008 Judge Krause celebrated her 5th year on the bench at the 54-A District Court.  During the short period of time that she has been on the bench she has been working
     In September of 2007, Judge Krause was honored with the Michigan State Bar's Champion of Justice Award.  More information about the award can be found at: http://www.michbar.org/programs/champjusticeaward.cfm
     Judge Krause has been asked to be a presenter/panelists at numerous events and conferences, including events that are community related.  She was one of three people chosen to select 2008’s Bea Christy Award recipient.  She was also a speaker at “Speak Out” a grassroots event on the Capitol steps on October 1, 2007 to promote neighborhood safety and to discuss violence against women.
     On February 29, 2008 she was a panelist at Harvard Law School at their conference sponsored by the Coalition against Gender Violence. 
     Judge Krause has been asked to give opening remarks and to do a presentation about her Domestic Violence Court on April 10th  of this year at the Domestic Violence and Child Welfare Conference in East Lansing, MI.
     Recently, she has been requested to teach judges on a national level regarding Domestic Violence issues by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
