Excuse me, are you listening? – A Work in Progress

Rina Risper, President & Publisher of The New Citizens Press (Tulsa, OK, 2022)

Dear Readers,

The photos are almost ready from Tulsa. I am very passionate about this trip. It significantly changed my life and how I feel about being a publisher. There are many things that I can say about the support that Michigan publishers do not provide for each other but that is another day. My passion has morphed into other spaces as well.

My new vlogcast, “The New Citizens Press Review” will be debuting on Thursday, October 13, 2022, on the Black Headline News Channel. Check out the voting articles on www.bhnnow.com. I will also have a form to fill out for my show ready a week after the debut.

There has been plenty of talk of having a show and now I have complete control over it. I pick my own guests; I have a female engineer and I still love people. I am genuinely happy!

The first guest on the show will be Plush Beauty and Spa. If you are looking for a new makeup artist or a new hairstylist, Diamond and Lamont have been producing some amazing work. We adore the owner, Savoya Dillard.

During the pandemic, I learned that when people look good, they feel good. I also learned a little about makeup and haircare.

It is all goodness. We will also need sponsors for the shows. The New Citizens Press Review will be a half hour show.

We are looking forward to bringing you the best right now. We are working on finding an editor and more reporters.

We have created relationships with hundreds of other Black owned media that help our stability.

Please go to our Facebook page “The New Citizens Press” to find out more information. Thank you so much for everything and your patience while we work the kinks out.

Love people,

Rina Risper
